Economic Policy Analysis and Management
Since 1995, the Foundation has been supporting the Government of Mali in its capacity building efforts. As one of the first generation projects in the Foundation’s portfolio, the Centre d’Analyse et de Formulation de Politique de Développement (Centre for the Analysis and Formulation of Development Policy) - CAFPD. In April 1995 the ACBF Executive Board approved a grant of US$1.6 million for CAPFD.
The project aimed to build the requisite institutional and research capacity to articulate strategies and policies for sustainable development and to ensure ownership of these strategies by Malians.
