The Centre d’Analyse des Politiques Economiques et Sociales (CAPES) or Country Level Knowledge Network in Burkina Faso, was set up in 2000 as a legal entity attached to the Office of the President and operated under its technical supervision but with financial and budgetary autonomy. Today, CAPES has become a focal point for generating, on a demand driven basis, outputs relating to capacity building in economic and social policy. In December 2003, the ACBF Executive Board approved a grant of US$ 275, 000 towards the Country level Knowledge Network in Burkina Faso.
The project aimed to serve as a hub for the generation, utilization, dissemination, promotion, and sharing of knowledge on socio-economic development issues in Burkina Faso.
